Located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, this short par 34 course is great for a quick, easy round or a cheap way to hone the skills.  With an on site mini golf course, Albany Links Golf Course offers something for the whole family.

The Course

Albany Links Golf Course offers golf at its most basic and is a great place to learn the game on a budget.

                                      

 

 

 

The Variety

Albany Links Golf Course is always going to struggle in this category.  Offering only 10 holes (played twice for a full 20), the course is a mixture short par three and par four holes with not much to mix it up.  Many of the holes are far too short and the greens are tiny.   Simply put, there just doesn’t seem to be enough land for nine holes, let alone ten.

The Challenge

The lack of any long holes at Albany Links Golf Course  will leave the experienced golfer a little disappointed.  Challenge comes in the form of very small and inconsistent greens.  Leave the woods as home! The only hazards to write about appear the be the boundary fence line.

            

 

 

 

The Price

At $10.00 for ten holes, the price is definitely great value.

                                                     

 

 

            

The Facilities

Albany Links Golf Course does not offer much in way of facilities.  The Pro Shop is very small with its only purpose to collect green fees and sell beer.  No motorised buggies are available due to the length of the course.  On the plus side, there is a Mini Putt course that is relatively new and will entertain the rest of the family.

 

            

The People

No problems here.  Everyone was friendly and approachable.  Top marks.

                                                                

            

 

The Extras

This category is aimed at rewarding those courses that provide that one unforgettable hole.  Albany Links Golf Course unfortunately has none to speak of, accept maybe the Mini Golf.
