Located on a sweeping bend of the Brisbane river within 10 minutes from the CBD, Indooroopilly offers guests a relaxed setting to escape the daily grind.  This fantastic offers 36 holes with a choice of six 18 hole rounds.

HOLE 1 (BLUE COURSE)

PAR 4

260 METRES

This opening hole looks easy at first glance. However a stray tee shot will find a bunker left and a large slope into rough on the right. The brave can try to drive the green but the conservative play is a lay up to 70m from the green provides the best opportunity for a birdie. Once on the green speed will be the biggest challenge.

HOLE 2

PAR 4

372 METRES

A dogleg left with trees both sides of the fairway. Water on the right hand side to catch the errant shot and water long left to catch the long hitter. The ideal tee shot right of centre will provide the best line back to the green. A bunker right protects the green and despite looking reasonably some putts will have some large breaks.

HOLE 7

PAR 3

177 METRES

Played from a high tee look behind to take in the view of the Brisbane River. It has a deep bunker on the right and trees further right, which are to be avoided at all costs. A tee shot left or a little short will give an opportunity for an "up and down" for par.

HOLE 6

PAR 4

405 METRES

A strong drive is required on this hole to reach a rise in the fairway to have a clear look at the green. A second shot looking down at the green will need to clear a bunker guarding the left side to reach the putting surface. A miss to the right will find a difficult chip shot. The medium-sized green does not present too many difficulties.

HOLE 5

PAR 3

147 METRES

Club selection is vital at this short hole. A large bunker protects the left side and a water hazard is further left. The right side can offer some friendly bounces back to this very large green. Putting will be tested with a gently slope from the right and a tier through the middle.

HOLE 4

PAR 4

356 METRES

Two trees on the left must be negotiated while staying clear of the trees on the right. The second shot will require a bit of thought because to miss left will find a large slope making par extremely difficult. The green is not a large target but when hit offers a birdie opportunity.

HOLE 3

PAR 5

460 METRES

The Brisbane River on the right and trees both sides of the fairway frame this straightaway Par 5. A drive to the fairway down the left side will give the best approach to the green. Golfers can hit this hole in two. Laying up about 70m from the green will give the best approach to a green, which slopes front to back and offers some very quick putts.

HOLE 10

PAR 5

454 METRES

A reachable par 5 to start the nine. The drive between trees right and bunker left needs to hit the fairway to improve your chances. The second shot miss a bunker 60m from the putting surface. The relatively flat green is not bunkered and offers a good start to the nine.

HOLE 9 (GREEN COURSE)

PAR 5

480 METRES

Enjoy the view of the clubhouse behind the green at this hole. A drive left of a large bunker will give you the best look at the hole. Only the longest hitters will be able to reach the green in two. A lay up 75m short will avoid bunkers both sides of the fairway and provide a chance to attack for a birdie. The green has two levels, putting an emphasis on distance control.

HOLE 8

PAR 4

433 METRES

This monster par 4 is the longest at our complex. A fade off the tee must negotiate large trees on the right to stay in the fairway which slopes right to left. The second shot, 200m uphill, is played to a flat green with no bunkers. On a hole this long 4 always feels like a birdie.

HOLE 13

PAR 4

407 METRES

A tough hole requiring accuracy from the tee to provide the best chance to hit the green in two. The second shot being made difficult by a two-tiered green. A bunker left, steep rise in front and a heavily grassed bank to the right are some of the challenges this green offers. Walk off here with a 4 and a big smile!

HOLE 12

PAR 4

338 METRES

A dogleg left this hole tends to be a bit of a sleeper. Trees left and right make accuracy off the tee a priority. The second shot is uphill to a green, which is deceptive to judge the distance. The putting surface looks reasonably flat however subtle breaks make for very difficult putts.

HOLE 11

PAR 3

208 METRES

Longest par 3 on the course. Trees left and right make it a very intimidating hole. A generous green sloping from back to front also provides a putting test.

HOLE 16

PAR 3

157 METRES

A downhill par 3 where your club selection is important. The green, which has no bunkers, drops away on all sides so a miss will find some difficult positions from which to make par. The putting surface is quite friendly so if you hit the green a birdie is not out of the question.

HOLE 15

PAR

METRES

One of the toughest driving holes at Indooroopilly. A dam right and trees left must be negotiated. A serve slope on the green from right you left will put a premium on the approach shot to be under the hole. Miss this green left and you will be faced with a difficult recovery. The right side of the green will provide some friendly assistance onto a putting surface, which can catch the player with speed and break.

HOLE 14

PAR 5

512 METRES

A blind tee shot with out of bounds to the right and unforgiving trees down the left side. An ideal drive will be slightly left off the tee giving a good angle for the second shot. Finding the fairway short and right of fairway bunker with second shoot will leave an uphill approach. Leaving the ball below the pin is optimal otherwise fast breaking putts will be encounted.

HOLE 18

PAR 4

406 METRES

Before you play your tee shot enjoy the view over the complex. Driving well here is a must. The bunkers on the right cannot be carried easily. Too far left will find trees and trouble. The downhill run will help any tee shot where a second shot may vary as much as a fairway wood to wedge. This approach is to a green with a ridge through the middle.

HOLE 17

PAR 4

411 METRES

A strong drive over a rise in the fairway is required to set up the hole. The second shot will require an iron to a plateau green with no bunkers. Any shot left will bound down the slope and find rough or trees. Although the green looks flat there are some subtle breaks, which add further teeth to this difficult hole.
